چکیده
Introduction: Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-PET/CT is the standard imaging modality to assess initial tumor burden and response therapy in lymphoma. FDG-avidity EMZL remains unclear with variability by extranodal locations. Thus, current Lugano staging suggested use CT scans EMZL. Recent data challenging this suggestion. we evaluated using a large MZL database. Methods: We assessed University of Miami database searching for patients PET/CT. Currently, includes 715 578 (80.8%) EMZL; 152 (26.3%) have PET/CT were analyzed. Patients high-grade transformation at diagnosis excluded. Extranodal pulmonary marginal zone B-cell lymphoma☆
AIM Extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) arises a number of epithelial tissues, including the stomach, salivary gland, lung, small bowel, and elsewhere. Here we present a male patient with an uncommon site of extranodal MALT such as a pelvic mass diagnosed after a long period of evaluation, which initially presented with an incidental pulmonary nodule. METHOD We report a 60 yea...
متن کاملExtranodal marginal zone lymphoma of the ocular adnexa.
Lymphomas of the ocular adnexa are a heterogeneous group of malignancies, composing approximately 1% to 2% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) and 8% of extranodal lymphomas. The most common subtype, accounting for up to 80% of cases of primary ocular adnexal lymphoma, is marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type. In the recent past, there have been significant advance...

BACKGROUND Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is among the most common forms of extranodal lymphomas, but little is known about subcutaneous involvement in patients with non-primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphomas. DESIGN AND METHODS Patients with MALT lymphoma diagnosed and treated at our institution between 1999 and 2010 were analyzed for subcutaneous deposits from MALT lym...
متن کاملWaldenström macroglobulinemia caused by extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma: a report of six cases.
Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) and its associated hyperviscosity syndrome (HVS) are generally caused by lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma or other small B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders. WM associated with extranodal marginal zone B-cell-mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (EMZL/MALT-type) has not been emphasized. We describe 4 men and 2 women (age, 40-79 years) with clinical and labor...
متن کاملSplenic marginal zone lymphoma.
Splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is a specific low-grade small B-cell lymphoma that is incorporated in the World Health Organization classification. Characteristic features are splenomegaly, moderate lymphocytosis with villous morphology, intrasinusoidal pattern of involvement of various organs, especially bone marrow, and relative indolent course. Tumor progression with increase of blasti...
